Mr. Stuart Pivar - An Introduction
Mr. Stuart Pivar is an author, inventor, entrepreneur and art collector who currently resides in New York City. Mr. Pivar has made significant contributions to the medical and scientific fields during the course of his educational and professional career. He has deep knowledge of mechanical and automotive engineering as well as pure and applied chemistry. Mr. Pivar has attained specialized knowledge of materials engineering and evolutionary biology through his career in the plastics industry and personal scholarship. While Mr. Pivar may be best known for his contributions to the art world (he is a respected art collector and also founded the New York Academy of Art), his contributions to medicine and science are also significant.

 

Stuart Pivar attended Brooklyn Technical High School where he studied math, chemistry and physics. He later matriculated at Hofstra University in Hempstead, New York, where he studied Chemistry and took his Bachelor's Degree.

 

Following a successful scientific academic career, Stuart Pivar brought his passion for chemistry to the private sector. In 1959, Mr. Pivar founded Chem-Tainer Industries, a firm that produces industrial liquid containment vessels. Pivar went on to hold leadership positions in several plastics companies and holds patents on molded plastic production techniques.

 

In addition to his scientific pursuits, Stuart Pivar has leveraged his personal wealth toward advancing medical research. He has funded AIDS research and therapeutic cloning through the Protease Inhibitor Labs at SUNY Stony Brook and Regenerative Medicine Associates, respectively. Mr. Pivar has also invested his time and energy in the study of biological forms through the Human Blueprint Project, which he continues to explore.
