About Mr. Stan Bent
Stan Bent has more than 20 years of legal experience in bankruptcy, business law, debt counseling, and contract negotiations. As the Managing Attorney and Owner of H. S. Bent & Associates, Stan Bent offers complete Chapter 7 analysis, petition preparation, and related litigation, including relief from stay motions, and adversary defense. Stan Bent also drafts business entity formation documents, leases, contracts, employee handbooks, and employment agreements on behalf of his clients. In addition to business matters, Stan Bent prepares estate planning documents, including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, physician directives, and living wills.
Prior to forming H. S. Bent & Associates, Stan Bent co-founded the firm of Parks & Bent in Santa Ana, California, Stan Bent provided debtor and creditor bankruptcy representation in Chapters 7 and 13 filings and related litigation. Stan Bent graduated from Western State University College of Law, where he achieved recognition in the 1987 edition of Who’s Who in American Universities and Colleges and was awarded the James Brower Achievement Award. After passing the California State, Bar Stan Bent served as Associate Attorney with a small litigation firm in Costa Mesa, California. There, Stan Bent prepared pretrial discovery, motions, trial briefs, and other court documents in the areas of personal injury, medical malpractice, land subsidence, and business litigation. Stan Bent graduated from the University of California, Berkeley, with his Bachelor of Arts in Interdepartmental Studies.
Finding time for charitable work outside of his professional duties at H. S. Bent & Associates, Stan Bent supports several environmental causes. Stan Bent assists with the Surfrider Foundation’s mission to keep beaches and sea water free from pollutants. With Community Conservancy International, Stan Bent helps to ensure the partnership organization meets its ecosystem preservation goals. Stan Bent also assists the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA), participating in fundraising and animal rights awareness efforts.
