About Mr. Simon Nagel
Attorney Simon Nagel began his career as an engineer before pursuing a strong interest in corporate law. Simon Nagel studied Aerospace Engineering at the Pennsylvania State University as an undergraduate and received his degree in the subject magna cum laude. For the next three years, Simon Nagel was employed by Lockheed Martin in Springfield, Virginia, and Valley Forge, Pennsylvania. Simon Nagel bore responsibility for a number of complex hardware and software systems and key aspects of their acquisition, operations, and design.
In 1996, Simon Nagel matriculated at the University of Pennsylvania School of Law. A cum laude graduate, Simon Nagel earned his JD in 1999 and accepted a role as Corporate and Securities Associate at Dechert LLP. Simon Nagel’s particular duties lay in conducting due diligence reviews, as well as drafting and negotiating purchase agreements and credit facility documents. Simon Nagel also advised clients on corporate and technology licensing issues and attended and led closings on their behalf. In 2002, Simon Nagel became a Litigation Associate at Dechert LLP, where he worked on pharmaceutical products liability litigation. His duties included preparing witnesses for trial and defending them in depositions. Simon Nagel returned to Dechert as a Senior Litigation Associate in 2005, after spending seven months at Pepper Hamilton LLP as an Associate in the Department of Health Effects Litigation. Simon Nagel managed a team conducting electronic review of pharmaceutical documents for discovery. Simon Nagel also led several measures in compliance and quality control and fostered strong relationships with clients and vendors.
Simon Nagel left Dechert LLP in 2009 to join Hudson Legal’s Philadelphia branch as its Director of Business Development. With responsibility over the tri-state area, Simon Nagel provides temporary legal staffing and discovery services to client corporations and law firms. Simon Nagel also is able to consult on various phases of the discovery process.
A member of the bars of the State of New York State and the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Simon Nagel lives and works in Philadelphia. Outside the office, Simon Nagel is an active hiker and also enjoys gardening.
