About Mr. Simon Nagel
Serving Philadelphia’s tri-state area of southeastern Pennsylvania, southern New Jersey, and Delaware, Simon Nagel assesses the staffing requirements for client law firms and corporations of Hudson Legal. As Director of Business Development at Hudson Legal, Simon Nagel provides temporary legal staffing and discovery services to corporations and law firms in the area. In addition, Simon Nagel uses his prior law firm experience to advise on different phases of discovery projects.
Attorney Simon Nagel recently transitioned to Hudson Legal from Dechert LLP, where he remained a vital contributor to the success of the Philadelphia-based firm for 10 years. Simon Nagel first came to Dechert LLP in 1999, when he assumed the role of a Corporate and Securities Associate, focusing on financing transactions and M&A.
In 2004, Simon Nagel spent seven months at Pepper Hamilton LLP as an Associate in the Department of Health Effects Litigation. Handling the preparation of witnesses for deposition and advising client and trial teams on the effective use of contract attorneys, Simon Nagel also directed the group responsible for the creation of privilege and redaction logs at Pepper Hamilton LLP.
Simon Nagel earned vital experience during his time at Pepper Hamilton, and he returned to Dechert LLP in 2005 to take on a position as Senior Litigation Associate working with corporate pharmaceutical clients. Simon Nagel prepared pretrial defense for industry titans like GlaxoSmithKline and Merck, as well as oversaw staff and more than 250 contract attorneys.
An accomplished student, Simon Nagel graduated magna cum laude from the Pennsylvania State University with his Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering. Simon Nagel holds a Juris Doctor from University of Pennsylvania Law School, and he is a member of the New York State Bar Association and the Philadelphia Bar Association. A resident of Philadelphia, Simon Nagel takes pleasure in activities including gardening, shooting, and hiking.
