About Mr. Scott Cathcart

Since its establishment, Veristeel and its founder, Scott Cathcart, have sought to revolutionize the modular building industry. Scott Cathcart has based his business strategies at Veristeel on the idea that the modular construction industry has not yet lived up to its intuitive potential, and that a convergence between automated production principles, standardization and the latest technologies should allow modular building structures to be built with the same degree of speed and precision as the automobile, resulting in higher quality and improved cost-effectiveness.

Scott Cathcart and Veristeel lead the modular building industry in the development of innovative products. Veristeel’s patent-pending RD FlexMod technology is a standardized building structural “kernel” which, taking a cue from Henry Ford, is rapidly-produced in partnership with Maersk on an assembly line. Scott Cathcart believes that this approach will enable significant advances in the quality and relevance of modular buildings in the years to come.

Before the University of Virginia graduate’s time with Veristeel, Scott Cathcart worked for Ogilvy & Mather Worldwide, a New York advertising agency. Subsequently, as an advertising executive at BBDO New York, Scott Cathcart developed highly successful American and international campaigns for the Gillette SensorExcel razor. During his time in New York, Scott Cathcart became engaged to his wife, Whitney Joy Cathcart. Currently residents in the San Francisco Bay Area, Scott Cathcart and Whitney Cathcart have two children.
