About Mr. Richard Pichardo

Decorated law enforcement professional Richard Pichardo possesses numerous honors, training certifications, and professional memberships in law enforcement associations. Based in Florida, Richard Pichardo has spent the past 25 years serving and protecting the communities of Miami-Dade County, the Town of Cutler Bay, and Coral Gables. Richard Pichardo took on his first position as a Public Service Aide for the Miami-Dade Police Department's Northside District. In this role, Richard Pichardo conducted accident reports and provided emergency medical response services to injured drivers. Following two years as a Public Service Aide, Richard Pichardo became a Police Officer with the Miami-Dade Kendall District. Over the next two decades, Richard Pichardo held such distinguished positions as Police Detective, Police Sergeant, First Lieutenant, Field Training Coordinator, and Robbery Task Force Commander. Until 2009, Richard Pichardo served as the first Police Commander of the Town of Cutler Bay.


Presently, Richard Pichardo serves as Public Safety Director of Valor Security Services. Richard Pichardo's responsibilities in this role include reviewing and managing daily activities, as well as conducting criminal investigations, completing and filing reports, and coordinating police responses. Under Richard Pichardo's direction, Valor Security Services provides invaluable protection to employees and patrons of the popular shopping, entertainment, and dining venue, the Village of Merrick Park.


Richard Pichardo holds an Employee Excellence Award, the Silver Medal of Valor, the Exceptional Service Award, and the Bronze Medal of Valor. Richard Pichardo is also a member of the Miami-Dade County Police Benevolent Association, the Hispanic Police Officers Association, and the National Law Enforcement Firearms Instructors Association.
