About Mr. Richard Pichardo
After 25 years of service with the Miami-Dade County Police Department and the Town of Cutler Bay Policing Unit, Richard Pichardo joined Valor Security Services as Public Safety Director in Coral Gables, Florida. In this position, Richard Pichardo provides leadership for his staff as well as emergency response and report handling. Focusing on the Village of Merrick Park, a shopping, entertainment, and dining venue, Richard Pichardo coordinates police responses and maintains detailed reports of all criminal investigations.
During his time with the Miami-Dade County Police Department, Richard Pichardo served as a Police Officer with the Kendall District, earning a promotion to Police Detective soon after. Richard Pichardo also served as a Police Sergeant, First Lieutenant, Field Training Coordinator, and Robbery Task Force Commander. Prior to joining Valor Security Services, Richard Pichardo served as Police Commander for the Town of Cutler Bay. As Cutler Bay's first Police Commander, Richard Pichardo established a high standard of achievement through his work conducting field training and investigations, maintaining a low crime rate, and adhering to the strict department budget.
Miami-Dade County has honored Richard Pichardo with numerous titles and accolades, including the Silver Medal of Valor, the Bronze Medal of Valor, the Exceptional Service Award, and the Officer of the Month Award. In addition, Richard Pichardo remains a member in good standing of professional groups like the National SWAT and Hostage Negotiator Association, the National Law Enforcement Firearms Instructors Association, the Hispanic Police Officers Association, and the Miami-Dade County Police Benevolent Association.
