About Mr. Miles Ehrlich

With his tested courtroom skills and superb judgment, Miles Ehrlich excels in his ability to reach favorable results in even the most challenging cases. His practice at Ramsey & Ehrlich is focused on representing individuals facing government investigations or accusations. Previously, Ehrlich worked at the United States Attorney's Office as Chief of the White Collar Crime Section and with the United States Department of Justice in the Public Integrity Section as a Trial Attorney for the Criminal Division.

Miles Ehrlich brings to bear impressive academic credentials. After graduating magna cum laude from Harvard College, Ehrlich set his sights on Stanford University’s School of Law. Miles Ehrlich graduated first in his class at Stanford Law School and was elected to the Order of the Coif, considered one of the highest honors a law student can receive. After law school, Ehrlich was given the opportunity to be a law clerk to Associate Justice Anthony M. Kennedy of the United States Supreme Court.

Mr. Ehrlich’s long record of achievement has come about through a wide variety of cases. He has represented clients in federal criminal matters ranging from securities fraud, insider trading, antitrust price-fixing, political corruption, health care fraud, and environmental offenses, to name a few. He and his firm have been involved in some of the most high-profile and important prosecutions in recent years. And though he is always preparing a case with an eye toward possible trial, Miles Ehrlich’s many years of experience as both a prosecutor and a defense attorney have provided him with an unparalleled credibility with the government, and a unique ability to persuade the other side to close investigations and decline cases where appropriate.

In an interesting diversion from his busy legal practice, Miles Ehrlich recently had a chance to perform a bit of legal Shakespeare. Justice Kennedy asked Ehrlich to participate in one of the nation’s most highly publicized mock trials: the Trial of Prince Hamlet. Staged before a huge audience at the Kennedy Center in Washington DC, Miles Ehrlich represented the Crown in its case establishing that Hamlet was legally sane and, thus, guilty of murder by killing Polonius. The point of the mock trial was to expose a new audience to this literary classic, as well as to challenge the legal system in grappling with the long-standing dilemma of sanity and criminal responsibility.
