About Mr. John Littleton
Sales and marketing executive John Littleton has cultivated his strong work ethic and commitment to excellence throughout his scholastic and professional life. While attending Seton Hall University in South Orange, New Jersey, John Littleton worked full-time to pay his tuition and living expenses. Upon graduating from Seton Hall University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science, John Littleton entered the workforce at the Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance Company branch in Secaucus, New Jersey. After five years selling a wide range of insurance packages and mutual funds through Massachusetts Mutual, John Littleton gained an entry-level position at Quest Diagnostics Incorporated in Teterboro, New Jersey.
At Quest Diagnostics, John Littleton earned a series of promotions that took him from Sales Representative to become Regional Vice President of Sales by 1996. In addition, John Littleton won numerous awards for his work at Quest Diagnostics, including Senior Sales Representative of the Year (1992), Regional Sales Manager of the Year (1994), and Regional Vice President of the Year (1996). Over the course of his more than eight years with Quest Diagnostics, John Littleton increased sales by wide margins, recaptured lost revenues through the implementation of new billing programs, established a nationwide account system, and managed over 100 sales representatives.
Leaving Quest Diagnostics in February 1997, John Littleton found a role as Vice President of Sales at Specialty Laboratories in Santa Monica, California. Under John Littleton’s tenure, Specialty Laboratories experienced revenue increases in excess of 500 percent and a successful IPO launch in 2000. John Littleton went from Specialty Laboratories to Elmwood Park, New Jersey, where he served as Vice President of Sales at Bio-Reference Laboratories, Inc. from September 2002 to January 2009. During this period, John Littleton drew from his vast expertise to improve sales revenues at Bio-Reference Laboratories, Inc. from $42 million to $301 million. A leader and innovator at Bio-Reference Laboratories, Inc., John Littleton established GenPap, the women’s health division of Bio-Reference Laboratories, and additionally helped grow Bio-Reference Laboratories’ Cancer Diagnostic Division, GenPath. John Littleton also dedicated much of his professional efforts at Bio-Reference Laboratories, Inc. to the growth of the Bio-Reference Laboratories brand in the medical testing industry.
At the end of his tenure with Bio-Reference Laboratories, John Littleton went on to serve as Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Hauppauge, New York-based Sonix Medical Resources, generating substantial increases in revenue and shepherding his company into a profitable future.
