About Mr. Hugh J. Maddox
With several years of experience in land development and resources, Hugh J. Maddox holds membership with professional associations Tulsa Association of Petroleum Landmen and the Ark-La-Tex Association of Professional Landmen. Hugh J. Maddox discusses new land efforts with these groups and recalls his own successes as Land Manager of ORCA Resources, LLC. In this leadership role, Hugh J. Maddox negotiates property acquisitions and inter-company lease contracts. Hugh J. Maddox’s responsibilities also include time management for on-time project completion.
During his tenure with ORCA Resources, Hugh J. Maddox has obtained several title opinions and created contracts with surface and mineral owners. Hugh J. Maddox researches and executes land administration industry-standard land duties and prepares land-related documents. While working independently on title requirements, Hugh J. Maddox addresses all inquires from ORCA Resources, working interest partners, and mineral and royalty owners. Hugh J. Maddox also collaborates with outside counsel and has testified as an expert witness before the Oklahoma Corporation Commission.
Hugh J. Maddox graduated from the University of Akron with his Bachelor of Business Administration. While studying marketing and sales, Hugh J. Maddox played college-level soccer, serving as team captain for two seasons. Hugh J. Maddox also achieved Academic All Conference status two years in a row. After college, Hugh J. Maddox entered the workforce as a Marketer with DeBruce Grain. Before accepting a management role with ORCA Resources, Hugh J. Maddox was the Senior Right of Way Agent with AMWAR Consulting and the Landman for Samson Resources.
Beyond his work, Hugh J. Maddox takes time to pursue outdoor hobbies, including running, soccer, skiing, hiking, and fly fishing. A member of the Boston Avenue United Methodist Church of Tulsa, Hugh J. Maddox also donates to the Community Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma.
