About Mr. Geoff Chasin
With shipping and distribution interests up and down the East Coast, Geoff Chasin controls an extended network of facilities and warehouses in the delivery industry. At the helm of New England Retail Express, Geoff Chasin fulfills the transportation needs of large retailers across the continental United States. An agent for Home Direct USA, New England Retail Express benefits from the continued patronage of such industry leaders as Crate&Barrel, JCPenney, IKEA, Sears, and GE.
For over 25 years, New England Retail Express has set the standard in high-quality, reliable delivery services, which has only increased since Geoff Chasin took over as President and CEO in 1989. Acquiring New England Retail Express in a leveraged buyout, Geoff Chasin immediately embarked on a quest to turn the small firm into a regional powerhouse. In just 20 years, Geoff Chasin has grown annual sales revenues of New England Retail Express from $2 million to $20 million and has added several new warehouses and distribution hubs to his organization. Geoff Chasin currently performs home deliveries for Boston-based Bob’s Discount Furniture. Most recently, Geoff Chasin opened operations in New Orleans.
Until its sale in August 2009, Geoff Chasin acted as Vice President and Treasurer of Consolidated Mattress, a 1-800-MATTRESS franchise located in Stoughton, Massachusetts. Co-owner of the company, Geoff Chasin bought the rights in 1992 for $10 and turned $800 worth of startup capital into $25 million in revenues per year.
In 2000, Geoff Chasin purchased the bankrupt mattress retailer Sunshine Bedding (a franchise of Amalgamated Mattress Co.), further expanding his operations to various locations in Florida. As President of the Amalgamated Mattress Co. franchise, Geoff Chasin maintained the same level of service found in the rest of his successful distribution firms.
Three-time winner of the Better Business Bureau Torch of Excellence Award, Geoff Chasin continues to gain honors and accolades from fellow industry professionals. Before beginning his career as a furniture and appliance distributor, Geoff Chasin worked as a mechanical engineer for Digital Equipment Corporation and Hudson Semiconductor Facility. Geoff Chasin holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from Cornell University.
