About Mr. Galen Maddy
Author of the noted book on the Veterans Administration Aid & Attendance Benefit Program, In Your Service, Galen Maddy provides assistance to countless American wartime veterans through The Veteran’s Friend. Based in Carlsbad, California, for over 40 years, Galen Maddy has cultivated a unique specialty as an advisor and facilitator to veterans in and around the Counties of Orange and San Diego and devotes his professional efforts to helping individuals and families obtain the federal Veterans Administration Aid & Attendance Benefit. Forming The Veteran’s Friend after many years in the financial services and investment industries, Galen Maddy now focuses his attention on benefits for veterans, along with his colleagues, attorney Merwyn J. Miller and C.P.A. Len Accardi.
Over the course of his career, Galen Maddy has written numerous articles and columns for the North County Blade-Citizen of Oceanside, where he has contributed his expertise on such matters as annuities, I.R.B. plans, investment clubs, mutual funds, and much more. Founder and President of the Galen Maddy Group, Galen Maddy possesses a wide range of experience in multiple areas of the financial sector. A veteran of the Vietnam War, Galen Maddy, C.F.C., CEPS (United States Marine Corps) comes to his work at The Veteran’s Friend with a depth of understanding and genuine concern for the rights of veterans across the United States. Galen Maddy attended college at Michigan State University in East Lansing, where he earned his Bachelor’s degree in Business in June 1968.
