About Mr. Eric Lent

Eric Lent has been a marketing visionary and executive of world-renowned brands, including Kodak, Ivory, J&B Scotch, British Airways, Glade, and Reese’s. Eric Lent received his BS in Business Administration from Towson University, where he graduated Cum Laude. Upon graduation, Eric Lent embarked on his career in advertising. Eric Lent attained crucial insight and marketing skills by working at a number of top New York-based advertising agencies, including Saatchi & Saatchi Advertising, Grey Advertising, and Ketchum Advertising.


Eric Lent’s professional background features outstanding accomplishments in increasing sales, productivity, and team cohesion. After working for several years in advertising, Eric Lent joined S.C. Johnson as Brand Manager for Drano. In this position, Eric Lent supervised all elements of the Drano Drain Care franchise and ultimately achieved and maintained the brand's highest ever 52-week dollar share. Besides working on the Drano brand, Eric Lent also served as the Brand Manager for S.C. Johnson’s Glade Air Freshener brand. Eric Lent’s responsibilities in this position encompassed developing products and line extensions. Eric Lent also led and managed a team that created a new $65 million aromatherapy product and attained the second highest BASES score in the history of S.C. Johnson’s Air Care database.


In 2004, Eric Lent commenced his successful tenure at The Hershey Company, where he remains today. Eric Lent improved field sales productivity and increased the company’s head count in an environment of rigorous cost control. Eric Lent steered Hershey to make major headway in rapidly developing markets as the Vice President, Global Traditional Trade. Moreover, Eric Lent created a business model that gave Hershey access to more than four billion traditional trade consumers around the world.


In Eric Lent’s current position as Vice President, Marketing Excellence and Strategy, he handles everything from basic advertising and promotion, to training, licensing, and digital image initiatives. Eric Lent also continues to develop global marketing strategies for Hershey products. Eric Lent has received numerous awards and accolades, including The Golden Marble for the best youth marketing campaign in the United States; the American Marketing Association’s Gold Effie; and the Addy, which is given by the American Advertising Federation for advertising efficacy.


Dedicated to helping people in need, Eric Lent has an active role in many human rights causes, including Compassion International, an organization that fights to alleviate poverty among children all over the world. Eric Lent is a also board member of Pause for a Cause.
