About Mr. David Brian Wexler
One of the most well-respected psychiatrists in the San Francisco Bay Area, David Wexler works in the psychopharmacologic management of a wide range of psychiatric disorders. Particularly knowledgeable in his field, David Wexler has received Patients’ Choice Awards in 2008, 2009, and 2010. Prior to establishing his own practice in Portola Valley, David Wexler focused on consultation/liaison psychiatry and held senior roles at Sharp Memorial Hospital in San Diego and other facilities. Most recently, David Wexler was a Clinical Instructor at Stanford University in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences.
Holding a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Harvard University, David Wexler completed his training as Doctor of Medicine at the University of California, San Diego. Throughout his academic career, David Wexler received a number of honors, including a John Harvard Scholarship and a Harvard Club of Southern California Scholarship for Superior Academic Achievement. David Wexler completed his residency training in psychiatry at Harbor/UCLA Medical Center.
Now a resident of the San Francisco Mid-Peninsula area, David Wexler enjoys playing the oboe and piano in his spare time. An avid traveler, David Wexler takes pleasure in learning about and experiencing other cultures; moreover, he speaks French, Spanish, Hebrew, Tagalog, and Italian, and has begun studying Mandarin Chinese.
