About Mr. Alferd T. Culbreth

A West Georgia College alumnus and graduate of DeVry Institute of Technology, Alfred T. Culbreth began his telecommunications career in 1984 at Raytheon Corporation as a Technical Engineer. Employed in the mainframe computing division, Alfred T. Culbreth was responsible for the implementation of schematics and systems integration. As a Field Engineer for Digital Equipment Corporation (DEC), Culbreth installed wide area/local area networks at customer sites for companies such as Georgia Pacific Corporation. The technical expertise Alfred T. Culbreth acquired during his work for DEC included mini/mainframe computers and peripherals using Ethernet and Local Area VAX Cluster protocols.


In 1989, Alfred T. Culbreth joined SOLID Computer Corporation, where he utilized his knowledge and technical skills to develop markets for its products in the United States and Europe. In 1992, 1993, and 1994 he achieved sales of up to $20 million, $50 million, and $140 million, respectively?a rapid rise in profits indicative of Alfred T. Culbreth’s marketing and managerial talents.


After nearly 10 years with SOLID Computer Corporation, Alfred T. Culbreth joined AT&T Corporation as a Data Network Consultant, where he drove sales for AT&T products, including Virtual Private Networks, Asynchronous Transfer Mode frame-relay, and Managed Network Services. His direction of product sales through the AT&T Agent Program placed Alfred T. Culbreth in the 99th percentile of the sales force, and he earned the SVP Award on multiple occasions.


In 1998, Alfred T. Culbreth left AT&T to launch his career as an entrepreneur. He founded a business through the M5COM Corporation, offering products and services in the satellite telecommunication carrier market. Alfred T. Culbreth’s company earned upwards of $600 million in sales and served countries in Asia, Africa, the Middle East, and South America. Alfred T. Culbreth founded a second company, TelTec Communications Corporation, in 2006 and has since expanded its services to countries in the Middle East and South America.


Alfred T. Culbreth’s extensive knowledge of telecommunications, satellite, and computer technologies and his aptitude for sales has fated many of the accomplishments in his 25 year career in the telecommunications industry. Alfred T. Culbreth’s initial achievements as an engineer propelled him into an impressive career in marketing and sales that led to the entrepreneurial ventures he conducts today.
