About Mindy Farber
Nationally recognized for her work as an employment law attorney, Mindy Farber currently operates a busy practice at Farber Legal, LLC. Highly active in her field, Mindy Farber is the author of How to Build and Manage an Employment Law Practice. The book, published by the American Bar Association, succinctly describes all facets of a successful employment law practice while clarifying pertinent state and federal regulations. Written in layman’s terms, How to Build and Manage an Employment Law Practice serves as a comprehensive yet accessible guide. Mindy Farber has also written numerous articles and book chapters regarding an array of legal topics. Publications featuring her work include The Washington Post, Law Practice Management Magazine, and The New York Times. Notably, she also wrote a chapter on the topic of employment law for the book Global Competition and the American Employment Landscape As We Enter the 21st Century.
Mindy Farber earned her Bachelor of Arts in History from Johns Hopkins University, graduating summa cum laude in 1974. In 1977, she earned her Juris Doctor from New York University School of Law. Before founding Farber Legal, LLC, she gained extensive legal experience as an attorney in the Civil Rights Division of the United States Department of Labor and as a Partner with Paley, Rothman, Goldstein, Rosenberg, Eig & Cooper in Bethesda, Maryland. Supplementing her career as an attorney, Mindy Farber’s professional experience includes serving as Vice President in the Montgomery County Chapter of the American Civil Liberties Union, a Legal Defense Fund Panel member of the Epilepsy Foundation of America, and Treasurer of the Bar Harbor Condominium Association.
