Mike Wattel, aged 39, comes from Phoenix, Arizona, United States. He is a professional poker player who started out by playing with his friends just for fun back in high school, and later continued in college, but this time for money. Up to 2008 Mike Wattel has been playing poker for 19 years.

The first real success of Mike Wattel came in 1999, when he entered the World Series Of Poker $1,500 Omaha Eight-or-better event, where he won his first WSOP bracelet and $134,865 in cash. Since that first victory, Mike Wattel has cashed fourteen times in WSOP events and made several final tables. With many ups and downs throughout his fifteen years of poker playing, Mike Wattel has displayed strong skills in the game. Destiny didn’t turn eyes off him, because in 2007, Mike Wattel won over $300,000 on the final table at World Poker Tour World Championship. With total winnings that exceed one million dollars, Mike Wattel stands at number 1558 at the 2008 POY Rank.

Mike Wattel used to be married, but is currently divorced and has one child. His favorite place to be is Las Vegas and considers his best game the omaha 8 better.
