Mike Sica, aka "Little Man", was born in 1944 and grew up in North Brunswick, New Jersey. He started playing professional poker in live tournaments in 2004, when he was 60 years old, but long before that he played poker as a hobby.
The first cash winning for Mike Sica was in the WSOP Seniors No Limit Hold'em tournament of the 35th Annual WSOP. In that tournament he took the 10th place along with $5,200. Many would say that this prize was quite enough for a 1st-time win, but Mike Sica made up his mind not to give up on the grand prize. And so, in May 18th, 2004, only two days after winning his first live tournament, Mike Sica participated in the WSOP No Limit Hold'em and settled only for the 1st place, with a cash prize of $503,160, and a shiny new WSOP bracelet.
In the years following his grand triumph, Mike Sica has been trying to regain the position of the desirable 1st place winner. Between 2004 and 2008 he competed in many live poker tournaments, but so far Mike Sica won only a single 1st place, along with $28,712, in the Trump Classic No Limit Hold'em tournament, on December 1st, 2007.
Although he is 64 years old, Mike Sica recently married a 21 year old woman to be his wife. Some see it as a middle-age crisis, others as a symbol of true success and status, and the rest may simply hope for true love at an old (and young) age. Whatever the reason may be, it didn't stop the other poker players to congratulate and applaud Mike Sica for his grand triumph in the romantic field on July 2008.
