About Michael Locker
Dr. Michael Locker is a man of many talents. While in graduate school studying evolutionary biology and kin recognition, Dr. Michael Locker began exploring his interest in creative and fiction writing. After finishing his first television screenplay, Dr. Michael Locker discovered his gift for writing dialogue and continued to pursue his recreational passion outside of his medical profession. In addition to television and movie screenplays, Dr. Michael Locker has written a children's story and several spec books on various health issues and has looked into the possibility of publishing his works. An avid reader as well as a writer, Dr. Michael Locker lists John Steinbeck and Michael Chabon among his favorite writers.
Dr. Michael Locker's capacity for the arts also includes photography. He has studied exposure theory and composition since his teen years, familiarizing himself with the craft through black and white film and converting his basement into a darkroom. Dr. Michael Locker has embraced technological changes that have made photography more accessible to nonprofessionals. He has held membership in numerous local photography clubs and enjoys enhancing his images with the Zone System, as well as training others in utilizing the software.
In addition to writing and photography, Dr. Michael Locker's interests extend to music. In college, Dr. Michael Locker served as a member of the Wind Ensemble and in his medical school Concert Band. He also frequently played music in the operating room during surgeries after noting its positive effect on patients' vital signs.
