Currently residing in New York City and offering her services as a fundraising and strategic planning consultant, Melissa Millay provides her clients with counsel informed by more than 12 years of experience eliciting the support of a diverse array of donors. Melissa Millay is an expert in the execution of strategies to fulfill immediate and long-term organizational funding requirements. Her ability to establish and maintain dedicated relationships with donors has allowed her to secure individual contributions of six to seven figures.
Prior to becoming an independent consultant, Millay worked for the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) in Paris, France. She acquired additional experience advising on organizational funding and resource allocation working as an investment research analyst with the New York-based Bessemer Trust Company.
Now seeking to transition from her independent consulting work, Melissa Millay desires to work to eliminate poverty through educational programs that empower people to improve their own situation. To that end, she is seeking an opportunity to work for a nonprofit organization, applying her acquired skills raising resources to benefit the establishment of sustainable communities. Specifically, Millay’s desire is to work full-time in an effort to educate women and children who are vulnerable to adverse circumstances in developing countries, providing them with the knowledge and resources they need for self-sufficiency.
