An Ohio native, he graduated from Archbishop Alter High School in Kettering before moving to Indiana to attend the University of Notre Dame. Following graduation from Notre Dame with a B.A. and a concentration in Mediterranean and Middle Eastern studies, David McNamee returned to his home state and enrolled at the University of Dayton School of Law, where he maintained an impeccable academic record in legal studies.
From 1994 through 1997, McNamee was a standout at Dayton Law, playing a key role on the school’s Moot Court team, serving on the editorial staff of the Dayton Law Review, and maintaining a high GPA. Owing to his exceptional performance, he won the American Jurisprudence Award for Academic Excellence before graduating cum laude from Dayton Law with his J.D. in 1997. After completing school, David McNamee passed the Ohio Bar Examination and subsequently started McNamee Law Office, LLC, which he quickly turned into a practice concentrated in family law and civil litigation, as well as various matters of business and criminal law.
