Max James - Professional Summary: Formerly a Combat Instructor Pilot, Max F. James trained at the United States Air Force Academy. After participating in the Astronaut Recovery Program at Cape Canaveral and volunteering in the Vietnam War, Max F. James pursued his MBA at Stanford Graduate School of Business. In his early career, Max F. James operated as an International Investment Analyst, a Real Estate Sales Executive, and a Real Estate Developer. A talented entrepreneur, Max F. James next established a presence in the hospitality industry, building and running all of the Days Inn Hotels in Nevada and California. During this time, Max F. James was appointed to the Board of Directors of the California Tourism Corporation by the California governor. After experiencing tremendous success in real estate, Max James transitioned to the nutrition industry, establishing a chain of retail kiosks in malls. Max F. James began with six carts selling one product, and eventually grew to over 700 kiosks offering multiple product lines, including yo-yo's, apparel, jewelry and cosmetics. Currently, Max F. James serves as Owner and CEO of North American Kiosk, LLC and Executive Chairman of American Kiosk Management, LLC, which conduct business in the United States, Canada, and Puerto Rico. Recently, Max F. James earned the honor of induction into the $25 Billion Specialty Retail Hall of Fame. A dedicated humanitarian, Max James runs Camp Soaring Eagle, an organization that provides weekend adventures, family retreats, and programs for children dealing with serious illnesses. The campers who attend Max James’ programs struggle with HIV, cancer, hemophilia, aplastic anemia, and metabolic syndrome, among other critical conditions. A generous patron, Max F. James has donated to a number of charitable organizations, including the Boys and Girls Clubs of America, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, and the US Air Force Academy Endowment Foundation. Recognizing his many contributions to society, the Boys and Girls Club named Max F. James Philanthropist of the Year for Northern Arizona in 2007, and the Air Force Academy named him the Distinguished Graduate for 2010.
