Mats Rahmn was born in Stockholm, Sweden in 1980, but it was not until 2003, when Mats Rahman quit his job, that his poker career began. It took Mats 2 years to make a name of himself in the poker world, when in 2005 he managed to finish in the 36th Annual World Series of Poker No-Limit Hold'em Championship Main event at 236th place and earning $28,375. The following year he once again entered the $1,500 buy-in No-Limit Hold’em championship at the 2006 World Series of Poker, this time at 1st place, defeating over 2,126 players and earning $655,141 and a WSOP bracelet. All that Mats Rahmn could say in an interview after the tournament was: “It feels amazing”. Also in the same year he participated in the Five Diamond World Poker Classic (WPT) Doyle Brunson North American Poker Classic No-Limit Hold'em Event, where he finished at 19th place, earning $67,655. In the early months of 2007 Mats Rahmn joined the Swedish team in the Poker Nations Cup, which they managed to win and take home after defeating the USA in a heads up match. After that he went on to play alone and entered the 2007 38th Annual World Series of Poker Event 35 - No-Limit Hold'em, where he finished 112th and won $4,334. Also in the same year Mats Rahmn made his second first place finish in the 2007 Bellagio Cup III Tournament (WPT) No-Limit Hold'em Event 14 and won $88,740. His latest entry was in the 2008 Five-Star World Poker Classic (WPT Championship) WPT No-Limit Hold'em Championship Event 15, where he finished at 53rd place and won $39,570.
