Mary Brosmith

Retirement plan expert Mary Brosmith attended St. Lawrence University in Canton, New York, where she belonged to Delta Delta Delta Fraternity, one of the world’s leading female organizations. After graduating with a B.A., Mary Brosmith relocated to Boston, Massachusetts, and began over a decade of service with MFS Investment Management. Fulfilling four different positions with MFS, Mary Brosmith garnered extensive experience dealing with retirement plans.

 

Beginning as an Investor Communications Representative, Mary Brosmith focused on retirement plans, responding to various inquiries and advising clients on the legalities and requirements of the different programs. Due to her diligence, Mary Brosmith earned a promotion, becoming a Retirement Plan Marketing Representative. In this role, Mary Brosmith helped with sales presentations while attending global conferences focusing on rules and regulations of the U.S. Department of Labor and Internal Revenue Service.

 

Additionally, she developed a familiarity with the relationship between the Internal Revenue Code and retirement plans. While attending Bentley University in Waltham, Massachusetts, Mary Brosmith became an MFS Marketing Manager. In addition to coordinating meetings in Boston for registered representatives, she executed marketing plans, which she developed through a series of meetings and conferences calls. Furthermore, Mary Brosmith also assisted department heads in overseeing retirement services sales efforts.

 

After receiving a certificate in pension administration from Bentley, Mary Brosmith finished her career with MFS as an Assistant Vice President. In this position, she assumed responsibility for the creation of retirement plan products, the development of sales literature, and company-wide compliance with the National Association of Securities Dealers (a predecessor to FINRA) regulations. Finding further employment in New York City and Chicago, Mary Brosmith drew on her retirement plan experience and joined Salomon Smith Barney and Guardian Life Insurance Company of America, dealing primarily with 401(k) programs and related products. Currently, Mary Brosmith lives in Massachusetts, and works for Lawrence Merchandising as a Merchandising Representative.
