About Mark R. Lonquist
Dr. Mark R. Lonquist has devoted the last 15 years to serving as a medical doctor in Arizona. Upon graduating with a B.S. in Biochemistry from British Columbia’s University of Victoria, Dr. Lonquist dedicated himself to the study of medicine. In 1998, he completed his medical studies and earned his Medical Doctorate from the University of British Columbia. Dr. Lonquist fulfilled his medical residency at Canadian College of Family Physicians.
Certified by the American Board of Family Practice and the Canadian College of Family Physicians, Dr. Mark R. Lonquist currently serves as Medical Director, President, and Physician at Estrella Mountain Medical Group in Goodyear, Arizona. Committed to providing exceptional leadership to members of the family practice, Dr. Mark Lonquist assumes a large number of challenging roles within the office. Alongside managing EMMG’s finances, HR operations, and staff administration, Dr. Mark Lonquist also provides training to his new and fellow physicians on the most current and innovative methods of practice available in the medical industry today. Due in large part to his effective management, Dr. Mark R. Lonquist recently expanded Estrella Mountain Medical Group operations to three clinics in the area, while simultaneously increasing insurance provider involvement.
Before joining Estrella Mountain Medical Group as President and Medical Director, Dr. Mark R. Lonquist garnered invaluable medical experience as Physician at Banner Health Arizona for six years. Dr. Lonquist also amassed varied expertise in medicine serving the Department of Emergency Medicine at the Maryvale Hospital Medical Center.
Dr. Mark R. Lonquist is an active member of the American Academy of Family Practice, the British Columbia Medical Association, and the Canadian College of Family Physicians. He is a devoted sponsor of Family Dogs New Life Shelter, the American Heart Association, and the American Diabetes Association, and he serves as a sports coach within his local community.
Dr. Mark Lonquist maintains an active and healthy lifestyle by running and playing golf, tennis, and hockey. He also enjoys reading for leisure. Lonquist continues to work and reside in Litchfield Park, Arizona.
