Mark Noble is an English football midfielder, who was born on May 8, 1987 in Canning Town and has been nicknamed “Nobes” in the football circuit.
Mark Noble was made captain of the England Under (U)-18 team and was a part of the team that won the semi-final match against Serbia and Montenegro in the 2005 Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) European U-19 Championship. In the 2007 European U-21 Championships, he made his first appearance for the England U-21 team as a substitute against Czech Republic. Mark Noble scored his first goal for the national team in its triumph against Bulgaria in September 2007, and he has won twelve caps for the team as of September 2008.
Mark Noble kick-started his football career as a youth player at West Ham United in 2000, while attending school. He became the youngest player ever to be a part of the reserve team of the club at the age of 15. After training, Mark Noble made his debut for the senior team in its win over the League Cup match against Southend in August 2004. In the 2005 Championship, he made his league debut for the club in a match opposing Wolves.
During the 2005 Premiership season, Mark Noble played for the club against Tottenham and Manchester United. He won the confidence of the club’s manager, Alan Pardew, and his brilliant performances for West Ham fetched him the ‘Hammer Young Player of the Year’ award in the 2004–05 season. Mark Noble went on loan to Hull City in 2006, and during his brief association with the club, he made five appearances.
Mark Noble signed a loan for three months with Ipswich Town in August 2006. He scored his first professional goal for the club in its victory against Coventry City on September 12, 2006. He represented the club in 12 Championship matches during his tenure.
Mark Noble returned to West Ham after his loan period, and in the third round match of the Football Association (FA) Cup, he scored his first goal for the club in its win over Brighton and Hove Albion in January 2007. His outstanding performance in the match fetched him the ‘Man of the Match’ award. Later that year, Mark Noble scored his first Premiership goal for West Ham against Tottenham Hotspur.
Voted by the fanzine website users, Mark Noble won two Knees Up Mother Brown awards for the 2006–07 season. He also won the ‘Young Player of the Year’ award for the same season. His stupendous goal for West Ham in its triumph against Bolton in April 2007 fetched him the ‘Goal of the Season’ award. As of August 2008, he has made 61 appearances for the club scoring five goals.
