About Mark Lobanoff
Since graduating from the University of Michigan Medical School in 1997, Dr. Mark Lobanoff has built a successful practice in ophthalmology. His practice centers on refractive and corneal surgery. He is known for performing LASIK on individuals who thought that they were not eligible for the surgery. In addition to his work as a leading provider of LASIK in Minnesota, Dr. Mark Lobanoff specializes in corneal and refractive surgeries.
Dr. Mark Lobanoff also gives talks on LASIK and corneal disorders. While most of his recent presentations have been located in the Midwest, he has also spoken in Colorado, Oregon, Georgia, Wisconsin, North Dakota, and other states.
Dr. Mark Lobanoff completed his medical internship at the University of California, Irvine, and his ophthalmology residency at the Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta, Georgia. Afterward, he accepted a fellowship at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis, specializing in anterior segment, corneal, and refractive surgery.
Dr. Mark Lobanoff received a National Institutes of Health Medical Student Research Grant in 1993 and a Howard Hughes Medical Research Grant in 1995. His most recent project was a clinical trial with Aventis Lens, studying the cataractogenic effects of an asthma medication. His research has appeared in the Journal of Immunology and other peer-reviewed publications.
Dr. Mark Lobanoff is licensed to practice medicine in Minnesota and holds five certifications relating to his field. He is certified in Bausch & Lomb Technolas, NIDEK, VISX Star S4 lasers, Bausch & Lomb C-LASIK, and LOCS III Lens Grading. He maintains affiliations with several surgical centers, both as a surgical consultant and clinical instructor. In addition, Dr. Lobanoff is the Medical Director of North Metro Surgery Center and North Suburban LASIK Center. He is currently the President of American Corneal Consultants.
