With more than 25 years of experience as a psychologist and educational consultant, Dr. Manuel Gerton devotes his time to helping a variety of students meet their academic goals. A primary focus of his practice is to assist students and their families as they navigate the complex and potentially frustrating maze of college applications. Dr. Manuel Gerton has assisted students in meeting the challenges of learning disabilities and ADHD, as well as those with GT, AP, IB and honors backgrounds.
In order to determine appropriate educational plans for his clients, Dr. Manuel Gerton consults with students and their families, gathering important information about developmental and educational histories. After a thorough assessment is completed, he develops plans with specific objectives and goals, taking into consideration each client's individual circumstances. Dr. Manuel Gerton provides ongoing support throughout the entire process and offers post-admission consultation as well.
Dr. Manuel Gerton also provides psychoeducational assessments to students with learning disabilities, ADHD, and related issues, who seek academic accommodations on a wide range of standardized tests, including the SAT, GRE, LSAT, GMAT and MCAT. Comprehensive written reports and individualized feedback are provided to clients to facilitate their requests. Dr. Gerton remains current and up-to-date with accommodation-seeking requirements.
