After a lengthy career as a business executive in Nice, France, Mamdouh Ashour returned to Los Angeles in 2004 to work in the sale of luxury real estate properties. Mamdouh Ashour is a graduate of San Diego State University with a Bachelor of Business Administration. Initially pursuing a career in accounting, Mamdouh Ashour passed every section of the Certified Public Accountant exam. From 1970 to 1971, Mamdouh Ashour worked as a Financial Manager with the San Diego County Credit Union. In 1973, after working with Subsea Products, Mamdouh Ashour joined Scubapro (formerly Undersea Industries) in Long Beach, California, as a Controller. Owned today by Johnson Outdoors Inc., Scubapro manufactures an extensive product line of deep-sea diving equipment. In 1980, Mamdouh Ashour achieved a significant career advancement when he accepted the opportunity to become Scubapro’s European Financial Manager. Relocating to Europe, Mamdouh Ashour soon advanced to the position of European Manager. From 1985 to 1995, Mamdouh Ashour was integral in new product development, business growth, and sales expansion throughout Europe. In 1988, and again in 1991, Mamdouh Ashour was honored with a special Director’s Award by the Compensation Committee of the Board of Directors. In 1995, Mamdouh Ashour again advanced within the company, becoming Worldwide Chief Executive Officer. Over the next 8 years, managing 355 employees in 16 countries, Mamdouh Ashour led consistent sales increases as the company grew to become a worldwide leader. Currently with Sotheby’s International Realty Affiliates LLC, Mamdouh Ashour actively represents a high-end clientele in the worldwide purchase of luxury homes. Continuing to pursue his real estate career, Mamdouh Ashour lives and works in southern California.
