Mahesh Rawat is a 22-year-old cricketer from Faridabad, India. This young wicketkeeper has been a regular on India’s domestic circuit since the 2003-04 season, and has represented Railways, Haryana at the Ranji level, India Red in the Challenger Trophy, and the Rajasthan Royals in the Indian Premier League.
Rawat has close to 2,000 runs to his name at the domestic level, including three centuries and twelve half-centuries. The wicketkeeper-batsman has maintained a healthy batting average of 37.8 at the First-Class level, with a highest score of 115. Mahesh Rawat has also kept wickets well, having registered 109 dismissals at the domestic level, which includes 88 catches and 21 stumpings. Despite being a wicketkeeper, Rawat has had some success as a bowler, having picked up 10 wickets with an average of 17.4 and best bowling figures of 2 for 5.
Mahesh Rawat’s deft wicket-keeping skills and useful contributions with the bat have made him ideally fit for the Twenty20 format of cricket.
