About Lynn Rochelle
While studying English at Lamar State College of Technology, now known as Lamar University, Lynn Rochelle held three separate positions, including one transcribing documents for an attorney. After Lynn Rochelle received her Bachelor of Arts in the late 1960s, she entered the teaching profession and eventually became a high school English teacher for Broward County Public Schools in Florida. Students benefited from Lynn Rochelle's instruction as she inspired them to believe in themselves and engage in alternative methods of problem solving. Lynn Rochelle aided the school for more than two decades before leaving in 2007. Still residing in Florida, Lynn Rochelle enjoys participating in outdoor activities such as jogging, bicycling, badminton, gardening, and volleyball. When reading for pleasure, Lynn Rochelle prefers books such as To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee, Angry Housewives Eating Bon Bons by Lorna Landvik, and Someone Knows My Name: A Novel by Lawrence Hill. An avid contributor to groups that seek to raise cancer awareness, Lynn Rochelle also improves her town of Tamarac by donating her time to its community center, garden, and Sawgrass Nature Center.
