About Lucette Laffoon
Professional Summary:
A alumnus of Indiana University Bloomington, Lucette Laffoon has spent the years since earning her BA in French working as a dance instructor throughout the world. As a jazz dance instructor with the Gournay-sur-Marne Conservatory and Assistant Director of the Rio Samba Dance Company, both in Paris, France, Lucette Laffoon has devoted herself to bringing entertainment and excitement to audiences in such countries as Malta, France, and Azerbaijan.
After traveling the world performing and teaching dance between 2002 and 2005, Ms. Laffoon began her pursuit of her Juris Doctor at Ave Maria School of Law in Naples, Florida. With her knowledge of French, Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, and Haitian Creole, Lucette Laffoon gives back to her community by volunteering her services as an interpreter for Legal Aid Services of Collier County, where she works with Haitian immigrants.
As Producer for The Advocate, Ave Maria’s radio program, Ms. Laffoon holds responsibility for calling and booking potential guests for the show, including writers, attorneys, judges, and law school professors. During her time at the Ave Maria School of Law, Lucette Laffoon has interned at the Wolfsdorf Immigration Law Group, New York City, and at Legal Aid of New South Wales, Sydney, Australia. In her free time, she enjoys swimming, dancing, going to the beach, and traveling.
