About Lisa Kromol
Lisa Kromol began her successful and varied career as a school counselor while attending graduate school at Hofstra University in Hempstead, New York. While studying for her Master of Science in Counselor Education, Lisa Kromol completed her counseling practicum at South Side Middle School in Rockville Centre, New York, where she worked with two 13-year-old students. Lisa Kromol also volunteered in the Guidance Department at Harborfields High School in Greenlawn, New York, and completed a School Counseling Internship with Farmingdale High School in Farmingdale, New York.
After graduating with distinction from Hofstra University, Lisa Kromol returned to South Side Middle School, where she took over the role of School Counselor as a leave replacement. For two months, Lisa Kromol met with students to discuss academic and personal concerns, conducted meetings with parents to discuss their children’s problem areas in learning and discipline, and mediated conflicts between students on campus. Following her time with South Side Middle School, Lisa Kromol joined Edgemont Junior/Senior High School in Scarsdale, New York, where she continued to assist students with academic and personal matters.
Today, Lisa Kromol serves as School Counselor at Gideon Welles School in Glastonbury, Connecticut. In this role, Lisa Kromol utilizes her education and experience to counsel approximately 550 sixth-grade students. In addition to meeting with groups and individuals every day, Lisa Kromol directs a variety of assistance programs to teach her students about time management, stress management, and self-esteem.
Lisa Kromol holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Binghamton University, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude. Lisa Kromol enjoys staying active through hiking, kick boxing, and Pilates.
