An award-winning photographer, Lisabeth Christy is an enthusiastic supporter of numerous charitable causes. She serves as a volunteer photographer with the Magic Hour Foundation, which offers free portrait sessions to individuals and families dealing with cancer. During the summer of 2005, Lisabeth Christy worked with Habitat for Humanity in Costa Rica and helped build a house for a family in need. A vegetarian for almost 20 years, she is a committed animal advocate and transports numerous animals to wildlife rescue and rehabilitation centers each year. In addition, Ms. Christy donates a part of the proceeds from each of her photography sessions to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
For the past ten years, Lisabeth Christy has been a professional photographer. She currently specializes in wedding photography, working with clients out of her two offices in Savannah, Georgia, and Washington, D.C. and on location throughout the United States to work. She has also collaborated with Stephen de Leon on a joint studio project called Love and Light, which has produced a body of daring and eclectic work. For three consecutive years, Ms. Christy has been selected for the Wedding Wire Bride’s Choice award for her unconventional aesthetic and innovative use of light. An active member of the field, she belongs to the Professional Photographers of America and the Wedding and Portrait Photographers International.
