About Lev Tripolsky
Lev Tripolsky maintains a rich array of interests. Having founded ITA-MED Co. in 1992, he continues to serve as President and CEO of the South San Francisco-based health care supplier. ITA-MED functions as an international manufacturing and distribution concern, delivering a variety of high quality home care products to customers across the US and around the world. Lev Tripolsky’s growing company boasts a diverse clientele that includes physicians, clinics, hospitals, athletic shops, maternity stores, home care suppliers, and medical support dealers, and ITA-MED supplies can be found thorough an array of major online retailers such as amazon.com, target.com, and sears.com.
To date, approximately 20 percent of all output from Lev Tripolsky’s thriving business reaches international customers. In addition to his manifold responsibilities through ITA-MED, Lev Tripolsky sustains an array of recreational activities. An avid fan of travel, he regularly engages a variety of adventure expeditions to places such as Africa and Nepal. To date, he has visited more than 77 countries around the globe. His love of the outdoors also results in an ongoing interest in a variety of rigorous athletic endeavors, including skiing, running, hiking, mountain climbing, and bicycling. A longtime equestrian, Lev Tripolsky also enjoys horseback riding whenever time permits.
Lev Tripolsky pursues a variety of less physical diversions as well. He sustains a particular fascination with historical books. In the same vein, he maintains an interest in art and antiques and collects both. As a hand drum player, he enjoys both performing and listening to music. Additionally, he commands a lifelong interest in foreign affairs and sustains membership in the American Israeli Public Affairs Committee. Lev Tripolsky and ITA-MED also possess memberships in the South San Francisco Chamber of Commerce and The Commonwealth Club of California: San Francisco. Lev Tripolsky holds an MS in Mechanical Engineering through St. Petersburg State Polytechnic University.
Following his graduation from the St. Petersburg, Russia-based institution in 1978, he immigrated to the United States and worked for the Westinghouse Electric Company. After serving as an Engineer and then as International Sales Manager for Westinghouse, Lev Tripolsky left the company and returned to school, studying international business through the distinguished The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, located in Philadelphia.
