About Leigh-Anna Hendricks
Leigh-Anna was always an overweight child. Once she went away to college, she began investing time into the gym, club sports, and martial arts. Through a healthy diet and exercise, she lost more than 100lbs and has been a success story ever since! She loved health and fitness so much that she majored in, and graduated from Georgia State University with a bachelor's degree in, Exercise Science/Physiology. Leigh-Anna has been training for the past six years with clients of all ages, fitness levels, and special needs/considerations. She believes in a comprehensive approach to health comprised of proper nutrition, adequate daily exercise, leisure and relaxation time, and sufficient rest. These are the principles that she relates to her clients.
Leigh-Anna has had experience in the area of Clinical Exercise Physiology and holds CPR/AED/BLS certifications through The American Heart Association. She has experience working with cardiac patients, the elderly, bariatric patients, and those rehabilitating from musculoskeletal injuries. Her favorite components of fitness that she incorporates into her programs are balance/coordination, flexibility, and core strength. She focuses on the use of multi-joint strength training exercises that stimulate natural adaptations to everyday human movement and provide her clients with greater functionality in their daily lives.
