Possessing more than a decade of experience, Dr. Lauren Hargrove graduated from Kennesaw State University with a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry and Biology in 1994. Dr. Lauren Hargrove furthered his education at the School of Dentistry at the Medical College of Georgia, earning his DMD in 1999. While in college, Dr. Lauren Hargrove stayed busy with research and the creation of a nonprofit organization. Most of Dr. Lauren Hargrove’s research focused on collagen. From June 1996 to March 1997, he studied the effects of different types of collagen on articular cartilage, specifically following the surgical induction of anterior disc displacement. In January 1997, Dr. Lauren Hargrove published “Localization of Type-I Collagen in Osteoarthritic Cartilage Using Immunogold Labeling” in the Journal of Dental Research. Dr. Lauren Hargrove also presented at the International Association for Dental Research meeting in Miami, Florida. In 1996, Dr. Lauren Hargrove founded World Dental Outreach, Inc. In his capacity with the nonprofit association, Dr. Lauren Hargrove established a free dental clinic in August, Georgia, with the mission of providing care to those in need. Dr. Lauren Hargrove later focused his efforts on third world countries and volunteered his services as Dental Director of Charities for Missionary Dentistry, which served the United States, South America, and Central America. After earning his DMD, Dr. Lauren Hargrove established a private practice in Atlanta while continuing his education by taking courses across the country and in the Bahamas. With courses on sedation, laser usage, implant dentistry, CERAC training, implant prosthetics, and bone grafting, Dr. Lauren Hargrove stayed current in his field and learned new procedures and technologies. Dr. Lauren Hargrove also continued to conduct research, with a clinical trial on the usage of monophase PVS in denture impressions. Dr. Lauren Hargrove currently operates as a Clinical Dentist for Great Expressions Dental Centers in Atlanta, Georgia, where he treats patients and provides general, surgical, endodontic, and periodontic treatments and therapies. Additionally, Dr. Lauren Hargrove maintains involvement with organizations like the American Dental Association, which equips dentists with oral health information and holds them to high professional standards.
