Laurence Verga has cultivated a successful career in the real estate and telecommunications industries. Currently President and Chief Executive Officer of both Verga Consulting and Verga Communications, he is a Charlottesville, Virginia, business leader. His newest venture, Verga Consulting, offers executives and managers sales and marketing coaching with the goal of increasing revenue.
At Verga Enterprises since its founder’s death in 2002, Laurence Verga has reversed the course of this once-lagging business, increasing the company’s market value to $70 million. Prior to this position, Verga functioned as a Sales Manager for Live 105/CBS Viacom in San Francisco, California, where his sales team reliably exceeded all targets. Before joining CBS Viacom, he served as Sales Manager for National Cable Communications LLC, establishing the company’s San Francisco office and achieving sales of $15 million, nearly doubling an $8 million quota.
Earlier in Laurence Verga’s career, he served as an Account Executive at San Francisco radio stations KSFO and KGO, where he was recognized as a leading salesperson. Subsequent to this position, Verga worked as a Senior Account Executive for AT&T Advertising, where he earned Client Service Awards for his efforts with Ford Motor Company and Nissan dealerships, as well as an Outstanding Research Award directly from Ford.
After earning a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology at the Berkeley campus of the University of California in 1986, Laurence Verga began his graduate study at Antioch University Los Angeles, where he completed a Master of Arts in Psychology. He has since engaged in course work at the University of San Francisco in pursuit of a PhD in Leadership. He currently lives in Charlottesville, Virginia.
