Dr. LaRissa Chism then completed a Fellowhsip in Forensic Psychiatry at the Western Psychiatric Institute and Clinic. Since establishing herself as an expert in forensic psychiatry and mental health issues, Dr. LaRissa Chism has spoken at several professional conferences around the country on such topics as “Helping Mothers Who Need Help,” which she presented at a workshop held during the 2010 meeting of the American Academy of Psychiatry and the Law, and “Consultation/Liason Casebook Challenge: Strategies and Limitations in Establishing Competency,” a clinical case presentation she discussed during the American Psychiatric Association’s annual meeting in 2005. Dr. LaRissa Chism has been a peer-review editor for the Jefferson Journal of Psychiatry and has been published in other prestigious journals, including the Journal of the American Academy of Psychiatry and the Law, and The Journal of Clinical Psychiatry.
