About Kyle Foote
Over the course of the last decade, entrepreneur Warren Kyle Foote has developed a strong passion for community activism through his work in the Utah LGBT community, as well as in mental health. A regular writer for websites involved in LGBT activism, Mr. Foote's primary focus involves the conception of a unique gay identity at an interpersonal level, as reflected in his article "We's and They's." In addition, Mr. Foote writes for local Utah newspaper QSaltLake on a variety of subjects, with a particular focus on coping with mental illness, which still carries a stigma within the general LGBT community.
In recent years, Kyle Foote has worked closely to help people in the Salt Lake LGBT community cope with mental illness, and he maintains an active involvement with the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI). Established in 1979 as an advocacy group, NAMI provides individuals and their families support and education on a variety of subjects related to mental illness. Through NAMI, Mr. Foote runs a connection support program for people with mental illness in the LGBT community on a weekly basis in Salt Lake City, helping them cope with their condition.
Born and raised in Syracuse, Utah, Kyle Foote is studying toward an Associate of Arts degree in International Studies with an emphasis on Portuguese. He plans to graduate in May 2012.
