A fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, Dr. Kurian Thott currently serves as chief of the Stafford Hospital OB/GYN department and chief executive officer of the Women’s Health and Surgery Center’s OB/GYN group practice in Stafford, Virginia. Before moving to the state of Virginia, he completed medical and surgical rotations at a number of medical facilities in the greater Chicago area, including Cook County Hospital and the North Chicago VA Medical Center. Dr. Kurian Thott focuses a great deal of his professional attention on laparoscopic surgery, directing Mary Washington Healthcare’s Center of Excellence in Minimally Invasive Gynecology and holding active membership in the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists.
A medical researcher as well as a practicing physician, Dr. Kurian Thott is currently studying lipid and LDL subparticles in women during antenatal and postpartum states. Dr. Thott has also delivered educational presentations about laparoscopic surgery at a number of domestic and foreign hospitals.
