KP Appanna is a 19-year-old cricket player from Kodagu, India. Appanna, a left-arm slow bowler began with India’s domestic circuit as a member of the Karnataka Ranji squad. He was also a member of the Bangalore Royal Challengers in the inaugural season of the Indian Premier League.

Appanna made his domestic career debut for Karnataka in the 2006-07 season in a match against Baroda. In ten first class matches, KP Appanna has picked up a total of 26 wickets with an average of 36.6. The youngster is known for his economical bowling and has maintained an impressive economy rate of 2.96 at the First-Class level. Appanna has one five-wicket haul to his name in the First-Class level, and a four-wicket haul in the List A level, with career best bowling figures of 5 for 79.

KP Appanna made his Twenty20 debut against Andhra Pradesh in April 2007. He was also recruited by the Bangalore Royal Challengers for the very first season of the Indian Premier League, a franchise-based Twenty20 championship consisting of the best cricketers in the world competing against each other in teams from eight cities. Appanna is yet to make an impression in the T20 format having played only three matches and picking up just two wickets.
