About Konstantin Chistikov

I concluded my studies in Petroleum Engineering at Heriot-Watt University. I would like to work in an organization where I can fully utilize the skills that I have acquired whilst doing MSc Petroleum Engineering and field experience from Schlumberger to gain valuable work experience, knowledge and ultimately a successful career within the Petroleum Industry.

EDUCATION AND TRAINING/EXPERIENCE

2009-2010, Heriot-Watt University (UK), MSc in Petroleum Engineering

Principal subjects / occupational skills covered:

-      Reservoir Engineering

-      Well Testing

-      Production Technology

-      Reservoir Simulation

-      Drilling Engineering

-      Formation Evaluation

-      Petroleum Economics

-      Individual Project “Production Evaluation and Forecast of a Gas Condensate Reservoir by Numerical Well Testing” (grade B).

This project was based on observation of well test behaviour of layered tight gas condensate reservoirs. The interpreted results from well test and estimated parameters give a reason what affects pressure response and what data can be used for further individual layer parameters calculation.

-      Field Development Project (grade A).

During FDP I was responsible for Well Test Analysis and Production Technology. Working with a real Well Test data from the North Sea oil field reservoir parameters, reservoir boundaries, location of the faults were obtained. In a Production Technology part of FDP the production completion design for vertical and horizontal wells was chosen according to reservoir simulation model target rates. Also, perforation gun selection and sand production estimation were done.

2008-2009, Novosibirsk State Technical University, Master in Heat-and-Power Engineering

Principal subjects / occupational skills covered:

-      Ecologically clean Thermal Power Plants

-      Thermal Power Plant Equipment Reliability

-      Thermal, Mechanical and Service equipment of Thermal Power Plant

-      Operating regime and Exploitation of Thermal Power Plants

2004-2008, Novosibirsk State Technical University, Bachelor in Heat-and-Power Engineering

Principal subjects / occupational skills covered:

-      Technology of Electricity and Heat Production

-      Turbines of Thermal Power Plants

-      Boilers and Steam Generators

-      Material Science

WORK EXPERIENCE

May 2011- Jan 2013, Schlumberger, Wireline Senior Field Engineer

-       Was promoted two times from Junior Field Engineer (Grade 8) to Field Engineer (Grade 9) and then to Senior Field Engineer (Grade 10).

-       Performing open hole wireline logging operations such as Triple Combo, Resistivity Logs, Image Logs (Micro Resistivity Image Logs), Formation Pressure Tests, Evaluation of Sonic Porosity, Magnetic Resonance evaluation of free fluid porosity, TLC and delivering log data to client. Performing perforation jobs. Attended several seismic jobs.

-       Petrophysical data real time quality check and delivery to external client.

-       Wireline crew management.

-       Providing supervision and on-the-job training to new Supervisors and Operators as required.

-       Communication within several segments in Schlumberger and client in order to plan a job.

-       Completed five Schlumberger courses:

  1. Oil Field Service-1: Introduction to Oil Field Service operations including HSE, fatigue management.
  2. PEPTEC-0/1: During these technical schools basic equipment, wireline tools theory and operational knowledge were introduced. Technical aspects of  a triple combo, sonic porosity, cement evaluation, perforation jobs were covered. Ability to work under pressure and deliver quality data in time was established. Basic log interpretation techniques were learned. Advanced HSE knowledge including radiation, pressure, heat safety was obtained.
  3. PEPTEC-2: It covers more complex services than those taught in PEPTEC-1 and includes Sonic-Scanner, RT-Scanner, CMR, FMI, XPT, TLC, Fishing, LWF, Pipe Recovery as well as interpretation of FMI, CMR and XPT.
  4. MDT: It covers high-tech services including MDT sampling and MDT sampling interpretation.

Jan 2011-Apr 2011, Gazprom-Neft, Deputy manager of fuel stations

-       Technical management of retail sales

-       Organization and management of work in order to maintain fuel stations effectiveness and reliability.

-       Control of corporate standards and required knowledge within petrol stations personnel.

ACHIEVEMENTS

-      Guinness Record Breaker.

-      Completion of two different individual projects during a Bachelor and Master degrees in Heat and Power Engineering. It was successfully accomplished on time and within economical limits (grade A).

-      Attained a high result in International Language Test (IELTS) which gave me the opportunity to study at UK universities.

-      Prize winner of ice hockey in Novosibirsk city championship.

-      Coached Heriot-Watt University football team.
