Kiyanu Kim - Professional Summary:
Kiyanu Kim, who lives and works in New York City, is known for his diverse involvement in the music industry, whether in the studio or on stage. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Music Technology from New York University where he graduated during the spring of 1996.
Kiyanu Kim began his music career in 2000, working as a freelance guitarist for well-known musical acts. In 2004, when Gwen Stefani released her album Love.Angel.Music.Baby., Kiyanu Kim was featured in the music video for her track “What You Waiting For?” Other musical acts he has collaborated with over the years include Ben Jelen, Lamont Dozier, Ron Saint Germain, Linda Perry, Chris Grace, and MoZella. He also appeared with Ben Jelen during the latter’s AOL Sessions performance.
In August of 2008, he started his own music production company, 3PMusic Productions. As the lead producer at the company, he is responsible for the areas of artist development, record production, musical arrangement, and songwriting. In 2010, Keli Price, a singer under Kim’s guidance, was voted BMI’s Young Songwriter of the Year. The following year, Tucker Jameson, whose album was produced by Kim, was the winner of the Rock category of the Great American Songwriting Contest. Songs personally written by Kim appeared on several cable television channels, including VH1, Animal Planet, MTV, Style Network, A&E Network, and Bravo.
