A metallurgical engineer with extensive experience, Kiedock Kim works for Veris Gold USA, Inc., of Elko, Nevada, as a gold mill manager at the Jerritt Canyon Mine. Since accepting the position, he has helped turn around what was an underperforming mill operation to one posting strong production numbers. In preparation for his career, Kiedock Kim studied at Queens University in Kingston, Ontario, where he earned his bachelor of science in metallurgical engineering. Following that, he secured a master of science in mineral processing from the University of Alberta in Edmonton.
Early on, Kiedock Kim gained practical experience in the field as a coal-process engineering technician with Quintette Coal, Ltd., in Tumbler Ridge, British Columbia. His background in the mining industry is not limited to North America though. For instance, Kiedock Kim served as the manager of metallurgy with Philippine Gold in Manila and as a mill superintendent and project leader at the Saudi Company for Precious Metals in Saudi Arabia.
