Kevin DeRosa - Professional Summary:    

Kevin DeRosa drew upon his own personal experience when he formed the private wealth management company, The Opus Group. After Mr. DeRosa’s brother, Mark DeRosa, began his career as a professional Major League baseball player, he needed advice on how to transform a short athletic career into a lifetime of security. Kevin DeRosa helped his brother develop a long-term plan that included evaluating investment opportunities, creating a budget, setting financial goals, wealth transfer strategies, and charitable donations. Building off of the financial plan he set out for his brother, Mr. DeRosa has been able to apply these principles to the corporate executives, independent investors, and high wealth individuals that make up The Opus Group’s clientele.

While Kevin DeRosa may not have achieved the same level of athletic success as his brother, he still remains highly active when it comes to staying in shape. Mr. DeRosa has been bodybuilding since his junior year in high school, when the varsity football coach challenged his starting quarterback to return for his senior season stronger and in better shape. With the help of his cousin, former professional World Wrestling Federation wrestler Carl Fury, Mr. DeRosa showed up the following year 52 pound heavier, and helped to lead his team to a division championship. For the last twelve years, Kevin DeRosa has trained on and off with muay thai instructor James Wellington, who himself learned from the legendary instructor Phil Nurse. A form of kickboxing and the national sport of Thailand, muay thai allows fighters to use their knees and elbow to strike the opponent in addition to the hand and foot blows allowed by other martial art forms.
