A lawyer with over 20 years of experience in consulting and management roles within the healthcare and biotechnology industries, Kenneth “Ken” Korioth has advised several companies in areas ranging from quality assurance and patient privacy to regulatory compliance and accreditation. Most recently, he served as vice president and associate general counsel for the New Jersey branch of pharmaceuticals company MannKind Corporation. During his tenure with Mannkind, Kenneth Korioth counseled senior leaders on a broad array of issues, including intellectual property protection, business litigation, and environmental remediation. Complementing his advisory duties, he also managed the legal department files for a clinical unit and a production facility, as well as multiple European subsidiaries.
Prior to joining Mannkind, Ken Korioth served as a clinical outsourcing manager for Otsuka Maryland Research Institute, where he instituted the organization’s permanent Clinical Outsourcing Group. As a senior contract analyst for Wyeth Pharmaceuticals/Genetics Institute, Mr. Korioth oversaw all contracting development and negotiations for the hematology therapeutic area, including securing agreements with a diversity of concerned entities, including contract research organizations, biostatisticians, and data safety monitoring boards.
Kenneth Korioth is admitted to practice law in the states of Rhode Island and Massachusetts, as well as before the United States Supreme Court. A member of the biotechnology professional association Bio New Jersey, Mr. Korioth currently serves on the organization’s Legal, Compliance, and Regulatory Advisory Committee.
