Keith Padien - Professional Summary:
Los Angeles-based commercial real estate finance professional, Keith Padien, currently holds a position as Director in the Cantor Commercial Real Estate (CCRE) West Coast Loan Origination Group. In September 2009, Mr. Padien joined Cantor Fitzgerald as Vice President in New York, developing the CCRE corporate financial model and participating in the group's joint venture negotiations and equity capital raising efforts.
From 2005 to 2009, Keith Padien served as an Associate with Real Estate Financing and Securitization group in Credit Suisse's Los Angeles office where he underwrote, negotiated, and closed numerous commercial real estate financings. One of Mr. Padien’s most notable transactions involved a $650 million senior and mezzanine construction loan for a branded hotel and condo development project in Los Angeles, CA. Other significant financings included a $150 million permanent loan on a newly built retail property in Waikiki, HI, a $100 million bridge loan on a vacant office campus in Silicon Valley, CA, and a $45 million bridge loan on a state-of-the-art data center in San Francisco, CA.
Mr. Padien earned his B.A. in Political Science with highest distinction from the University of Rhode Island in 1998, minoring in business administration and economics. In May 2005, he completed simultaneous MBA and JD degrees at the University of Southern California (USC). During his final two years at USC, Keith Padien held an Associate position with the mortgage brokerage firm George Smith Partners, Inc. His responsibilities included the underwriting and preparation of marketing packages for more than $300 million in debt and equity transactions.
A wine enthusiast, Mr. Padien has travelled to a large number of wine regions around the globe, including California’s Napa Valley and Australia’s Barossa Valley. He and his wife have participated in numerous National Multiple Sclerosis Society Charity Walks raising over $25,000 for the oranization.
