A graduate of Seton Hall University with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Keith McKenna went on to complete law school in 1989 and was admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court - District of New Jersey that same year. Since that time, Mr. McKenna has gradually expanded the number of courts where he may practice. The following year, 1990, Keith McKenna was admitted to practice in New York, followed in 1998 by admission to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit, and in 2004 by admission to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit and the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York. Today, he serves as a Partner with the law firm of McKenna McIlwain, LLP. Keith McKenna specializes in complex law cases involving legal malpractice, banking, commercial litigation, environmental law, and cost recovery litigation. Examples of the latter are cases in which a major corporation has contaminated a piece of property or the groundwater associated with it. They can also include disputes over recovering the cost of an environmental cleanup or compensation for property damage. Keith McKenna’s work on such cases can bring litigation against both the polluting entities or their insurers. Away from preparing for his next case or working in the courtroom, Mr. McKenna enjoys playing golf.
