Read the Full Breakdown on MERRY JANE:
A college grad gets more than he bargained for when he takes upon his new role as weed dealer after he loses his nerdy but sturdy consulting job.
The film stars Josh Brener (The Big Bang Theory, Workaholics) in the leading role as David and Alexandra Daddario (American Horror Story, Baywatch, San Andreas, The Last Man on Earth) as the supporting role of David's girlfriend Kate. Kate is the apple of David's eye. David's bookish savant demeanor is redeemed by his willingness to dive into the outlaw world of illegal marijuana sales.
David's new job as weed dealer in the streets of Manhattan is quickly expanding. Without Kate's support, David's new career becomes increasingly confusing and dangerous with his growing client base.
Director Rory Rooney's film encapsulates the drama that occurs when we plunge into drug dealing to make ends meet. Red Crown Productions' film will be released by WellGo Entertainment. Given Brener's background at Harvard University and Daddario's Baywatch babe status, the film is guaranteed to please.
The film also features supporting roles from Tovah Feldshuh (Lady in the Water, Brewster's Millions), Lindsay Broad (The Office) and Al Sapienza (The Sopranos). Rory Rooney's (The Magic) full-length feature film Baked in Brooklyn is everything you'd expect in a marijuana-tinged comedy.
Dealing becomes a viable career option when the hero's boring 9-to-5 comes to a screeching halt. David's loss of innocence is compounded by the chaos surrounding weed dealing. David is the mild-mannered weed dealer you don't need to fear.
Grab some popcorn- this comedy is tailor made for marijuana enthusiasts. Baked in Brooklyn will be a fitting addition to your stoner comedy repertoire.
The film is currently in post production and due for release in late October.
